Sea Fossil Jasper is known for its interesting fossil-like patterns and layered appearance. It is often associated with ancient marine sediments. These stones are also known as Sanskrit Jasper, Calligraphy Stone and Miriam Jasper.  Despite the different trade names, these stones are generally composed of microcrystalline quartz (chalcedony) mixed with sedimentary minerals and fossil inclusions that formed over millions of years. The swirling patterns, shell-like markings, and earthy tones are what make each piece stand out.

These are sold in bulk and come in a mix of natural rough pieces with unique patterns, textures, and earthy colors. Every batch is slightly different, making them great for collectors, crafters, tumblers, and anyone who enjoys working with natural stone materials. Available in 4 oz., 1/2 LB, 1 LB, and 2 LB options. Sizes and shapes will vary since these are natural rough specimens.

These rough stones are popular for all kinds of creative and decorative projects. Many customers use them for:

Rock tumbling
Wire wrapping
Lapidary work
Jewelry making
Resin art
Crystal grids & displays
Vase fillers
Terrariums
Mosaic projects
Educational collections
Aquarium or natural décor displays

Because these are natural rough stones, expect variation in color, shape, thickness, and texture. Some pieces may have more fossil-like markings while others may show more jasper patterning. No two stones are exactly alike.
